...to Cub Scout Pack 243 based in Sewickley, PA, serving boys and families from the surrounding area.  We are members of the Boy Scouts of America and the Laurel Highlands Council / Seneca District of Allegheny County.

The Cub Scout Pack is arranged into groups of Boys according to grade, with typically one group (called a Den) per grade level.  Tigers: first grade, Wolfs: second grade, Bears: third grade, Webelos I: fourth grade and Webelos II: fifth grade.

Pack 243 holds meetings 2-4 times in a typical month.  Most months there is either a full Pack meeting, or a special event.  In between full Pack meetings, Den meetings are held in smaller groups to help the boys work through their achievement books.

Typical special events for Pack 243:

• Fall and spring campouts
  including campfire, ceremonies, dinner and pancake breakfast, and more fun than you can shake a smore stick at!
• Pinewood Derby racing
  Each boy - along with a parent - creates the fastest car they can from a 7"x2-3/4" block of pinewood, four axles (nails) and four plastic wheels.  Winners go on to distict finals and possibly states!
• Blue & Gold Banquet
  All Pack dinner where awards are given out, and the Webelos II "crossing over" ceremony is held.
• Rocket Launch
  Each boy makes and decorates their own model rocket.  Don't worry, only adults handle the rocket motors and launching!
• Summer Camp
  Each year a number of boys, parents and leaders spend a few days at Boy Scout Camp Heritage.
